Our Most Frequently Asked Questions!

Will I need a commercial drivers license in order to operate an RV?

You do not! There are no regulations or laws across the United States that require one to obtain and hold a CDL in order to operate a motorhome. In order to rent an legally operate an RV, you will need two things. You need to be 25 years of age, and you need to have a valid drivers license. One thing to note, there are some states and RV rental agencies that allow individuals to be 21+ years old to rent and operate a motorhome, but that is not our policy.

What happens if my RV breaks down on the open road?

With Kansas City RV Rentals, you will never feel like you're on your own! That is a bad feeling, and one that we would never want our customers to feel! Our recreational vehicle fleet is smoke free. We aren't overly strict, but smoking in our motorhomes is a big no no. If we detect smoking following a completed trip, it will be investigated further, and if proven true, you will be issued a fine.

Who covers the comp and collision insurance on the motorhome?

When it comes to the actual liability and fault coverage, your personal auto policy will more than likely cover that. But, if it doesn't, we can still help you. We would advise reaching out to your insurance provider to see what your personal auto policy covers when it comes to renting a motorhome. For the comp and collision coverage on our vehicles, we place small policies that are included in your rental price.

What is the drop off and pick up time?

Kansas City RV Rentals are typically pretty flexible when it comes to working with our clients, we understand things happen. We won't ding you extra $ if you're a couple of hours late. But, we don't want to be taken advantage of, so if you respect us and our polices we will provide that same respect to our renters! You're able to pick up your rental as early as 8:00am on the day you depart on your excursion. We ask that you return your motorhome no later than 12:00pm on the last day of your rental.

Are pets allowed in the motorhome?

Our policies don't allow for pets to be in the RV's. The reason being some of our renters have cat and dog allergies and we don't think it would be fair to them. But, if you do have a furry friend, you may still be in luck! We usually keep a vehicle in our fleet that does allow for pets. Call us to see if it's available for your next trip!

Which campgrounds are able to hookup my RV to?

This is actually a very important question that even if it isn't asked, we like to make suggestions! On rare occasions will you find RV parks and campgrounds that don't have hookups. The last thing you would want, is to find out when you get there. Let us know where you're headed and we may know, or simply call ahead and make sure you're able to hook your rental up to electricity!
