What are Class A RV's?

Class A RV's are the largest and most luxurious motorhome types. These large vehicles are built on bus or commercial truck chassis and typically weighing more than 20,000 lbs. These are what you think of when you think of a pop-star on tour traveling the country! These offer all of the amenities that you would be able to find in your home! Class A motorhomes aren't the most fuel efficient, but what they lack in fuel efficiency they make up for in luxurious camping experiences! If you've got a large group you're traveling with, this RV type might be perfect for you! Most of our Class A motorhomes in our fleet can fit up to 12 people quite comfortably.

Size Of Class A RV's?

Class A motorhomes These are the largest RV types. They offer the most storage and sleeping capacity of any type of recreational vehicle. You will typically find these motorhomes to be about 25-45 ft. in length and weighing over 20,000 lbs.

Gas Mileage For Class A Motorhomes?

This is often times what deters people from purchasing these expensive motorhome types. They don't get the best gas mileage... This does vary on different makes and models and if you're doing highway or city driving, but the average fuel efficiency these motorhomes get is between 6-15 mpg

How difficult to drive?

The short answer is no, they aren't difficult to drive. Especially once you get used to it, and after going through our course on driving RV's. But, since these are the largest and longest motorhome types, you will find that smaller Class B, and Class C types are easier to drive. If you've never driven a Class A motorhome, it might be a little bit of a learning curve, but once you've completed our training course, you should be good to go!

Drivability And Living Space

Sitting on a large commercial truck or van chassis means that you're sitting up high! If you're departing on a cross country trip, you're going to be doing a lot of driving, so why not do it comfortably? Unlike a Class C RV, you don't have an overhang over the cab. You sit up high and are able to see the entire road with the large windows in front of you!

Additionally, the amount of living space does vary depending on the model you choose to rent. But typically the living space would include driving area, seating area/living room, kitchen area, eating area, bathroom, and potentially multiple bedrooms. How Many People Can Class A RV's Sleep?

If you and your significant other are looking for a weekend get away to the Rocky Mountains, then a Class B or C RV might be right for you! The last thing we're looking to do is deter anyone for renting something they want, but a Class A RV would be a lot more expensive when a Class B or C would probably accomplish your RV travel goals! With that being said, if you're a large family or party, then a Class A motorhome would be perfect for you! Having the ability to comfortably sleep 10+ individuals then a large group would love a Class A motorhome!
